About the clinic
Through science to beauty
Skincare Science Aesthetics was founded by Rachel, a qualified registered nurse with over twelve years' clinical experience, including working in Dermatology and Musculo-Skeletal clinical trials. In 2024 she was awarded a Master's degree in Clinical Microbiology from the University of Nottingham, making her a duel-qualified nurse and medical microbiologist.
She is a member of BAMAN (the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses) and has had her clinical academic research published in several medical journals.
Massage: Rachel is a fully-qualified sports and Swedish masseuse. She gained her ITEC massage qualification whilst working as Healthcare Manager for the world-renowned Royal Ballet School, where she regularly gave remedial massage to both the stars of The Royal Ballet and the students of The Royal Ballet School. During her NHS work, she has also worked in multi-centre Musculo-Skeletal clinical trials.
Facial Aesthetics: Rachel's work in international Dermatology clinical trials alongside specialist aesthetic qualifications from the award-winning Derma Institute make her ideally placed to offer non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and a range of cosmetic dermatological procedures. Her Master's degree in Medical Microbiology ensures that infection control practices at the clinic are exemplary.
Situated on Chilwell High Road, SSAC partners with Brigitte Beauty and Salt Spa to offer clients a comprehensive, convenient and individualised beauty pathway.

Botox is a prescription-only medication and must be prescribed for individual patients. In order to do this, patients should attend a Botox prescribing clinic; these are usually held on weekly on Saturdays at the clinic and can be booked by calling or texting our phone number to request an appointment. You will have a consultation with our doctor, your Botox will then be ordered and a further appointment agreed for the administration of your Botox treatment.

Dermal fillers do not have to be prescribed, but if you are a new patient, we suggest that you book an Individual Beauty Pathway (IBP) appointment, where we can get to know you, go into detail about your medical history and work together to decide what effect you would like to achieve from any treatment you have. You can book for both the IBP and filler appointments via this website.
Massage

Massage
Both Swedish and Sports massage are available to book through this website. Swedish massage is a light yet invigorating massage to promote good circulation. Sports massage involves a firmer touch and is usually a remedial massage to address specific issues such as knots, muscle tightness or injury.
